UNN FINALLY REVEALS WHEN CORONAVIRUS CURE (ANTIDOTE ) WILL BE READY (VIDEO )

The drug for the treatment of the dreaded coronavirus will be ready
soon if the testing of the vaccine is completed. The assurance was given by the Chairman of the Imo State Taskforce on COVID-19, Prof. Maurice Iwu in Owerri on Wednesday. The professor of Pharmacognosy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), had presented a plant-based patented treatment for COVID-19 to the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu which is now been tested in United States.

While briefing newsmen in Owerri shortly after Seplat Petroleum and Waltersmith Oil Ltd donated COVID-19 preventive material to the state government, Prof. Iwu disclosed that there is a positive sign that it would soon be ready.

“The work on the drug we are developing is still going on. We are encouraged by the result we are getting. We are getting very positive signs.”

Meanwhile A 13-year-old boy with coronavirus died without family by his side as he became Britain's youngest victim of the pandemic.

Ismail Mohamed Abdulwahab had no known underlying health conditions and is one of the youngest people in the world to die after contracting Covid-19.

The teen - whose dad died of cancer, leaving his mum to care for seven children - didn't have any family with him at the time due to the highly infectious nature of the virus.

Ismail, from Brixton, south London, died at King's College Hospital in the early hours of Monday morning after medics put him on a ventilator and then into an induced coma as they desperately tried to save his life.
